Today's Fact

Most of the problems or the disease factors start with problems relating to the stomach (and spleen, which may not be felt much). So if your stomach is quite sensitive, feel happy for that. You can avoid many of the disease factors. Just listen to whatever your stomach wants to convey to you, whether it is avoiding hot or spicy food or food that is not fresh. (
புளித்த உணவு). By this we mean not only the sour item, but the items that have been prepared long back and kept in fridge and taken again for consumption. Take food as fresh as possible. A good cooking involves emptying the dish for the only intended time of serving. This will save us a lot of medical expenses.

Today's Tip

As we have talked about the stomach, today's tip would be a stomach point. ST36. This is an excellent tonification point. People for whom no pulses can be felt, or with very feeble pulses, we use this point for tonifying/augmenting their energy level.  Stomach being an organ related to the "Earth" element, this point will immediately stimulate the energy flow of the person needled/pressured, and hence he/she will feel energized. It is termed as the GREAT DOCTOR.

ST36 point is situated 3 cuns below the lower edge of the kneecap, in the hollow at the junction of the tibial bone and the calf bone. It is easy to locate in the sitting position. A palm is placed on the knee, so that the middle finger points vertically along the course of the tibial bone crest with fingers slightly parted. ST26 point is located under the ring finger towards the foot in the hollow between the tibial bone and the calf bone.
